   This is Barry Beckett, a friend still, after 40 years, from SE London Atkinson house. Amazingly I saved some of these pictures when I found them last year, not realising they are by the same Susan Grey ( I hope),

      Hi Barry – my reply yesterday maybe comes across badly, I was a bit busy and replied hastily. I meant I was amazed/pleased that someone saved my pictures. I post things from time to time and don’t really expect anyone to respond to them, so it’s a nice surprise, especially coming from a proper artist. I’d love to know which pics caught your attention. I still see the St Hildas crowd, although Carry not so much, as she’s in the US. Tad came to my show at the end of my art classes – which I was also rather chuffed about. So, yes, it is me, still a friend. Sue

   Green fields from above with clouds; reminds me of Balthus; Railway tracks at speed; Red car, house and snow; Grey landscape; Grey Lake; and I’ll borrow more. I really like them. No context, or sizing, very uncompromising, no fiddling,come straight to the point a vision. They are lovely and glad that I can say so to the artist. I am sorry not to have maintained friendship. I left London in 1980, came back a few times but finally left in 92.
